The 'Multiple 4K passing-yard NFL seasons' quiz

The NFL releases their list of the league’s top-100 players ahead of each season as voted by the players, and coming in at No. 77 is Baker Mayfield, who is looking for a long-term contract extension from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason. 

Mayfield is set to be a free agent after the 2026 campaign, but according to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, Tampa is in no rush to work out a deal with their QB1 this offseason. 

“They aren’t close yet. I can tell you there’s a lot of work that needs to be done,” Garafolo said. 

Mayfield has spent the last three years with the Bucs, but 2025 was the worst for both him and the team. Mayfield threw for his fewest yards and touchdowns in his tenure in Tampa, with the Buccaneers missing the playoffs with an 8-9 record. But with a QB room featuring Jake Browning, Connor Bazelak and Jaylon Daniels in reserve, Tampa’s hand may be forced if Mayfield decides to hold out for a new deal.
