Injuries are truly the worst part of sports, and the New York Giants have already seen a young player's season stolen from him due to a major one.
A young Giants WR and key special teamer, Bryce Ford-Wheaton, suffered a devastating knee injury that will force him to miss the 2025 season.

A tough blow for a young player who had been making strides — especially after coming back from a torn ACL he suffered in 2023. pic.twitter.com/w2892lHcDt
The Giants signed Ford-Wheaton as an undrafted free agent ahead of the 2023 season. He turned some heads early on but suffered a torn ACL and had to wait until 2024 to make his regular-season debut. Last year, he appeared in 14 games as a key special teamer for the Giants. He logged 288 total snaps in 2024; 286 of them came on special teams. His impact on special teams gave him a leg up in ongoing competitions to make the Giants roster as one of their final WRs.
There was also some hope that a full season removed from his ACL tear would allow him to reach new heights as a WR in training camp and potentially carve out a larger role on offense as well. That all came to a halt on Sunday with Ford-Wheaton going down with an injury that would require him to be carted off, and he left the field with a towel over his head. That type of scene hardly ever ends with good news, and sadly, that was the case for Ford-Wheaton, who will now miss his second NFL season in three years. With the news already out there, Ford-Wheaton took to social media to reflect on his injury and is already focused on coming back better than ever.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t devastated! I did everything by the book! Didn’t take a single shortcut, left no stone unturned, invested everything into my body and my health this year. I’m not sure why me but I promise I’m not going out on these terms. It’s a long road ahead…
