The NFC East is already taking shape

That is not a recipe for a winning season.

Especially with Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers coming to town on Sunday night.

New York Giants (0-3)

The Russell Wilson renaissance didn’t last long, did it?

A week after shredding the Cowboys for 450 yards and nearly pulling off an upset win, Wilson crashed back down to Earth hard.

After his second interception of the first half, the Giants’ hometown crowd began chanting “We want Dart.”

That would be first round pick Jaxson Dart, who has been seeing a play or two on the field. Just not as the starter.

New York is a hard town.

They want winners and right now, Wilson isn’t that.

Nor does the schedule ahead get any better. They play the 3-0 Eagles twice, the 3-0 Chargers, and the 3-0 49ers in five of their next six games.

They might not even be able to beat the 0-3 Saints, the only losing team they’ll face in the next month and a half.

Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)

Someone from The Vatican needs to investigate the Philadelphia Eagles. Someone in that organization has clearly sold their soul to the Devil.

The Eagles might be the worst 3-0 team in the NFL, maybe even in the history of the league for that matter.

They beat Dallas by four in the season opener, the Chiefs by three last week, and the Rams by seven on Sunday.

Philadelphia should have lost all three of those games. Their last two wins have been greatly aided by referee blindness.

Even after the league called out its officials the week before, the officials refused to flag the Eagles for a false start on yet another Tush Push touchdown against the Rams.

Even then, they needed two late blocked field goals to beat Los Angeles.

That’s two straight wins for Philadelphia that they shouldn’t have won. Sooner or later, their luck will run out.

Washington Commanders (2-1)

How tough are the Commanders?

Their back-up quarterback, Marcus Mariota, stepped in for Jayden Daniels and led Washington to a 41-24 win over the Raiders on Sunday. But that isn’t why they are a tough team.

Mariota was pushed out of bounds on a play and ran full speed into his head coach. Dan Quinn was sent flying, landing very hard on his back.

He got up with a cut on his forehead but otherwise brushed off the hit.

That kind of toughness only radiates down through the roster.
