The 'NFL 1,500-yard rushers' quiz

Just a couple of days after Bijan Robinson reset the running back market with his three-year, $75 million contract, veteran Jonathan Taylor is getting a payday of his own. 

Following his 1,585-yard, 18-touchdown performance in 2025, the Colts have rewarded Taylor with a two-year, $44M contract extension. The six-year veteran and 2021 rushing champion does have a history of sitting out until he gets the deal he wants – missing the first four games of the 2023 season before signing his three-year, $42M contract. But he also has a history of being one of the NFL’s elite running backs, topping 1,000-yards in every season he played at least 14 games and racking up 10+ rushing touchdowns in each of those seasons. 

Entering his final season of that deal, the Colts now won’t have to worry about a disgruntled (or absent) JT to begin the 2026 campaign.
