The 'NFL 200-yard rushers' quiz

Running back Rico Dowdle bet on himself twice in two years, signing one-year contracts with the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers and rewarding both clubs with 1,000-rushing-yard campaigns in 2024 and 2025. Now, he’s finally getting a multi-year deal, signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers on a two-year contract to reunite with former head coach Mike McCarthy. 

Dowdle was an under-the-radar signing for Carolina ahead of 2025, but after RB1 Chuba Hubbard missed a few games due to injury, the 27 year old ran rampant. In Week 5 against Miami, he rushed for a career-high 206 yards with a touchdown before rumbling for another 183 and adding 56 through the air in Week 6 against Dallas. He’d have just one more 100-rushing-yard game with the return of Hubbard, but he did enough for Pittsburgh and McCarthy to lock-down his services for multiple seasons.
