The 'NFL franchise rushing-TD leaders' quiz

Happy 37th birthday to 2010 Heisman Trophy winner and national champion, 2011 first-overall NFL Draft pick and Offensive Rookie of the Year and 2015 NFL MVP, Cam Newton!

The Carolina Panthers won the Cam Newton lottery after going 2-14 in 2010, and he immediately delivered on bringing excitement back to the Queen City. Despite going 6-10, Newton dazzled with both his arm and legs as a rookie, racking up 4,051 passing yards and 21 touchdowns (and 17 interceptions), while adding another 704 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Newton’s best year came in 2015, when he helped lead the Panthers to a 15-1 regular season record and earn the only Super Bowl appearance of his career before losing to Von Miller and the Denver Broncos in Peyton Manning’s final game. He would continue to be a productive QB for the next couple of seasons, but injuries decreased his effectiveness through the air as his mobility declined. After playing in just two games with the Panthers in 2019, he joined the post-Tom Brady New England Patriots, going 7-8 as a starter under Bill Belichick.

With Carolina in QB disarray in the 2021 season, he returned to go 0-5 in five starts and he’s been out of the league since.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Despite being a quarterback, Newton is still the Panthers all-time leader in rushing touchdowns with 63 in his Carolina career. With that being said, can you name the rushing-TD leader for each NFL franchise?

Good luck!
