Happy 128th birthday to one of the most iconic names in the history of professional football, Earl “Curly,” Lambeau!
Lambeau, who played his college football at Notre Dame, was one of the original founders of (and players for) the Green Bay Packers in 1919 and remains the namesake of the legendary Lambeau Field where the Packers still play. He played for the team’s first eight seasons in the NFL and served as their head coach during most of that time as well before officially trading his cleats in for a whistle after the 1929 season.
Lambeau would coach for the Packers, Chicago Cardinals and the now-Washington Commanders, racking 226 wins and six NFL championships in 33 seasons.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the NFL coaches with the most regular season wins can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
