The 'NFL most improved players' quiz

After a career season in 2024 from quarterback Sam Darnold, the Seattle Seahawks decided to make the veteran their quarterback of the future with a three-year, $100.5 million contract.

So far in 2025, Darnold looks like his Pro Bowl campaign in Minnesota last year was no fluke. The former third-overall NFL Draft pick has racked up over 1,500 yards and 11 touchdowns with three interceptions in his first year in Seattle, and the Seahawks are 4-2 as a result. Their next challenge comes in the final game of the Week 7 schedule on ‘Monday Night Football,’ against the surging Houston Texans. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. After being thrust into the starting role in his lone season as a Viking due to a knee injury to J.J. McCarthy, Darnold threw for 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns to lead Minnesota to a 14-3 record and earn Pro Football Writers Association’s nod as the NFL’s most improved player.
