The 'NFL passing-TD champions' quiz

At 38 years old, questions surrounding the playing future of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford are understandable. 

But on Thursday, Stafford got $55 million reasons to stick around for at least two more seasons with the Los Angeles Rams by signing a one-year contract extension through the 2027 season. 

The Rams selected Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, but the reigning MVP and 17-year veteran seems to still have plenty left in the tank. After leading the NFL with 4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns en route to a 12-5 record, Los Angeles should be able to let Simpson season while they contend for a title with the trio of Stafford, Davante Adams and Puka Nacua. 

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Stafford tied Peyton Manning and Steve Young as the oldest quarterbacks to lead the NFL in passing touchdowns at 37 years old. With that being said, can you name the quarterbacks to lead the NFL in TD passes since the NFL/AFL merger in 1970?
