Philip Rivers hasn’t played quarterback for an NFL team since going 11-5 with the Indianapolis Colts in 2020. Now, he’s making his retirement from the NFL officially as a Charger.
While Rivers doesn’t have much playoff success or many personal accolades to show for his career compared to his statistical peers, he was still one of the most productive quarterbacks of his generation. He’s sixth all-time in both passing yards (63,440) and touchdowns (421). Unfortunately for Rivers and Chargers fans, interceptions were also a prominent part of the Philip Rivers story. He threw 209 in his career, 25th-most all-time while leading the NFL in that category on two occasions and throwing 20 or more picks in three campaigns.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Rivers led the entire NFL in passing yards with 4,710 in 2010 – one of his 12 4,000 yard seasons in his 17-year career. With that being said, how many of the NFL’s passing yard leaders since the AFL/NFL merger can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
