After shattering the Philadelphia Eagles single-season rushing record with 2,005 yards in his debut season and helping Philly to a Super Bowl title in 2024, it is technically true to say Saquon Barkley had a “down year,” in 2025.
The eight-year veteran still posted his fifth 1,000-yard season in his career, rushing for 1,140 yards and seven touchdowns to go with another 273 yards and two TDs receiving en route to another NFC East title. But amidst off-field drama between quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver A.J. Brown, the Eagles fell to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card to end their title defense.
Heading into 2026, the Eagles have a new offensive coordinator and said goodbye to Brown via a trade to the New England Patriots. Despite the retooling, Barkley said he’s excited for their new Sean Mannion-led offense.
“I think it’s a great plan he’s putting together,” Barkley said when asked about the new system.
“It’s kind of fun going back to like I’m a little kid again. Just working on my steps, working on my little details and techniques.”
So far in his NFL career, Barkley has racked up 8,356 rushing yards, 2,651 receiving yards and 71 combined rushing and receiving touchdowns.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Barkley set both single regular and postseason rushing records in 2024 with Philadelphia, and his 499 rushing yards in that playoff run are the third-most in NFL history. With that being said, can you name the players with at least 300 rushing yards in a single NFL postseason?
Good luck!
