The 'NFL QB playoff debut-winners' quiz

The Chicago Bears have apparently avoided the worst-case scenario with franchise quarterback Caleb Williams long-term, with the third-year pro expected to return to action relatively soon. 

But between Williams’ hamstring injury and QB2 Tyson Bagent entering concussion protocol, they may have to turn to someone who hasn’t started a game since 2023: Case Keenum. 

Keenum, who does have 66 NFL starts to his name, is now 38 and hasn’t taken a regular season snap since he was with the Houston Texans three seasons ago. When asked about the possibility of being the starting signal caller against the Philadelphia Eagles, Keenum explained his emotions. 

“I love the feeling of being nervous,” he said. 

“It’s not a scared nervousness, it’s an excited nervousness because I know I’m prepared.” 

The Bears are Keenum’s eighth NFL team in his 14-year career, and he’s accumulated 15,175 yards and 79 touchdowns to 51 interceptions, but he does have an 11-win season under his belt and was the QB who threw the ball to Stefon Diggs for the “Minneapolis Miracle,” in the 2017 NFC Divisional Round.
