Philadelphia Eagles fans are being reminded of what they lost with the lastest announcement from the NFL.

The league released their NFL Top 100 Players list for the 2025 season and coming in loud and clear at No. 95 is ex-Eagles star edge rusher Josh Sweat!

After leading the Eagles' defense with eight sacks in 2024, Sweat left for the Arizona Cardinals in NFL free agency on a four-year, $76.4 million deal with $41 million guaranteed.

Sweat spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles, gradually emerging as one of the most dependable and disruptive forces on the team's defense. After being selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Sweat steadily worked his way up the depth chart and eventually claimed a full-time starting role in 2021. From that point on, he became a cornerstone of the Eagles' pass rush.

His impact was especially felt last fall where he played a key role in the Eagles' dominant defensive unit that helped carry the team to a historic 40-22 Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. His perfect combination of speed, power, and relentless effort made him a constant threat to opposing quarterbacks and a vital part of the Eagles' success.

During his time with the Birds, Sweat racked up 237 total tackles, inlcuding 54 tackles for loss and 43 sacks. His consistent production and leadership on the defensive line solidified his status as one of the most well respected players in the Eagles' locker room and a fan favorite throughout the city of Philly.

Now, fans will have no option but to watch him suit up in cardinal red and white.
