Happy 33rd birthday to four-time Pro Bowler, 2022 Walter Payton Man of the Year and 2016 Offensive Rookie of the Year, Dak Prescott!
Prescott is entering his 11th NFL season with the Dallas Cowboys, and despite passing for 4,552 yards and 30 touchdowns with 10 interceptions in 2025, the Cowboys missed the playoffs for the second season in a row thanks to a porous defense.
In the second year of the Brian Schottenheimer Era and a year removed from the controversial Micah Parsons trade to Green Bay, Cowboys fans will hope the defense will catch up to the offense for their QB approaching the wrong side of his prime.
Despite the 7-9-1 record in 2025, Prescott told Tommy Yarrish of dallascowboys.com that 2026 is still “Super Bowl or bust.”
“That’s the one thing I love about the Cowboys nation and being a player for the Cowboys. And truthfully, that’s the only reason you play this game,” he said.
When he’s able to play a full season, Prescott has been one of the most statistically productive signal callers in Dallas history since stepping in for an injured Tony Romo in 2016. His 35,989 passing yards are the most in franchise history and he’s just five touchdowns away from tying his predecessor’s record of 248.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Prescott took the NFL by storm as a rookie, throwing for 3,667 yards and 23 touchdowns to just four picks in an 13-3 season just months after being selected in the fourth-round of the NFL Draft. With that being said, can you name the NFL quarterbacks to throw for at least 3,000 yards as a rookie?
Good luck!
