Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers picked right back up where he left off after his record-setting rookie season, catching five passes for 103 yards in the first half of Week 1. But a knee injury knocked him out of the game, and his status for Week 2’s ‘Monday Night Football,’ clash against the division-rival Chargers was up in the air.
While Bowers is officially listed as questionable, Raiders fans will be encouraged to hear the second-year pro is expected to play following two practices head coach Pete Caroll described as “great.”
If Bowers is available, Week 2’s final matchup will feature two of the best young pass catchers in the NFL. Bowers set an NFL rookie record in 2024 with 112 receptions, finishing with 1,194 yards, while Los Angeles’ Ladd McConkey caught 82 passes of his own for 1,149 yards.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Bowers was just the third tight end in NFL history to reach 1,000-receiving yards as a rookie, joining Mike Ditka (1961) and Kyle Pitts (2021). With that being said, can you name every NFL tight end to record 1,000 receiving-yards in a single season?
Good luck!
