Since Breece Hall was selected by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, he’s been one of the few bright spots in the Mean Green offense.

Heading into his fifth year in the NFL and following his first 1,000-yard season, he’s being rewarded with a new three-year, $47.75 million contract.

“Cried for the first time since I tore my ACL,” the former Iowa State star said on social media, referencing his season-ending injury from his rookie campaign.

Since returning from that injury, Hall has played in at least 16 games each season since. He nearly reached 1,000 rushing yards in his 2023 return while racking up a career-high 1,585 total yards from scrimmage. While the Jets blew things up over the course of head coach Aaron Glenn’s first season in charge in 2025, Hall finally reached the 1,000-yard milestone despite a three-win season.
