The 'No.2-overall NFL Draft picks' quiz

When Jayden Daniels exited the Washington Commanders Week 2 loss to the Cowboys with yet another non-throwing elbow dislocation, even Tom Brady dropped an expletive on live television. 

But according to general manager Adam Peters, Commanders fans can take a small sigh of relief after he revealed that surgery “isn’t on the table,” for 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year and he may even be able to avoid landing on Injured Reserve. 

Daniels missed significant time in 2025 after dislocating the same elbow, and veteran Marcus Mariota is expected to steer the Commanders’ ship once again in his absence. With an unenviable schedule featuring the Seahawks, the Colts (in London) and the San Francisco 49ers in their next four games, keeping the Commanders season afloat could be a tall task for their other former second-overall NFL Draft pick.
