The record-breaking streak you've never heard of: Lane Johnson's incredible run

It's not too often that we hear about offensive lineman breaking records. Typically, the glory belongs to skill players, such as running backs or wide receivers. But Eagles right offensive tackle Lane Johnson is an exception to the rule.

Lane Johnson is putting it on for the city of Philadelphia. He hasn't allowed a sack since Week 11 of the 2020 season, according to Pro Football Focus' Twitter.

He recently broke the record for most games in a a row without a sack at 26, per theScore's Brenden Deeg. He's the anchor of the best offensive line in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. Besides Johnson, the Eagles offensive line is bulked up with Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson and Issac Seumalo.

While Johnson's sack-streak is impressive, he's not just a lockdown pass blocker. The Eagles offensive line has paved the way for the best rushing attack in the league in 2021 and a top-five attack this season, StatMuse reported

Johnson was drafted in the first round by Philadelphia in the 2013 NFL Draft. He's developed into a brick wall for the Eagles. The three-time Pro Bowler has helped the Eagles go to the playoffs in five of the last six seasons. He was also a key cog on the 2017 Eagles, who won Super Bowl LII over the Brady-Belichick New England Patriots. He even has some serious hands, catching a touchdown pass last season.

Johnson was nominated for the 2022 Art Rooney Sportsmanship award, per The Philadelphia Inquirer. He will try to keep his sack-streak going against the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve.
