The 'Rushing leaders by NFL franchise' quiz

Happy 66th birthday to six-time Pro Bowler, 1982 Offensive Rookie of the Year, 1985 MVP, and Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl XVIII champion and MVP, Marcus Allen!

After a dominant run with the USC Trojans in college that culminated in the 1981 Heisman Trophy, Allen was selected 10th-overall in the 1982 NFL Draft by the then-Los Angeles Raiders. He led the NFL as a rookie with 11 rushing touchdowns to go with 697 yards, and it was the first of his six 10-rushing-TD seasons. In his second year in 1983, he reached 1,000 yards on the ground for the first time to help the Raiders to the Super Bowl. In his lone appearance, Allen rushed 20 times for 191 yards and two touchdowns en route to MVP honors and a Lombardi Trophy.

He eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards three times in his career, peaking at 1,759 in the 1985 season when he was named Offensive Player of the Year and MVP.

Allen’s production dipped for the most part following 1985, but he did lead the NFL in rushing TDs one more time – eight years later and with the rival Kansas City Chiefs. He played until 1997, racking up 12,243 yards and 123 touchdowns while adding 5,411 yards and 21 touchdowns on 587 receptions.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. To this day, Allen is still the distant all-time rushing leader in Raiders history with 8,545 yards in his 10 seasons with the club. With that being said, can you name the players with the most rushing yards for each NFL franchise?

Good luck!
