Ever since the Los Angeles Rams traded for Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns, it has been more of a matter of “when,” than “if,” Aaron Donald was going to come out of retirement.
With the Rams’ preseason games behind them and a Week 1 clash with the San Francisco 49ers in Australia looming, it's finally official: Donald is back on a one-year, $20 million contract with up to $10M in playoff incentives.
Donald hasn’t played an NFL snap since 2023, but had eight sacks that year and is still just 35 years old. He’s been working out with (but not as officially part of) the team since early August but head coach Sean McVay hasn’t revealed if the three-time Defensive Player of the Year will play in Week 1.
The 10-time Pro Bowler who has 111.0 sacks to his name told Pro Football Talk’s Michael David Smith that his trainer told him he hasn’t “missed a step,” a prospect that should be terrifying for offensive lines across the NFL.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Donald is a already a Super Bowl champion and the holder of the Rams single-season record for sacks since the statistic was officially tracked in 1982, posting 20.5 in his 2018 DPOY campaign. With that being said, can you name the player with the most sacks in one season for each NFL franchise?
Good luck!
