Happy 50th birthday to 14-time Pro Bowler, five-time NFL MVP, two-time Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl champion, Peyton Manning!
After playing his college ball at Tennessee, Manning and fellow quarterback Ryan Leaf were expected to go in some order of first and second in the 1998 NFL Draft. The Colts selected Manning, and the rest is history.
Despite throwing a staggering 28 interceptions as a rookie and finishing with a 3-13, Manning became one of the best quarterbacks of all-time. He led the NFL in passing yards on three occasions and in passing-touchdowns four-times. He’s one of nine QBs in NFL history to eclipse 5,000-passing-yards in a season and one of just three with at least 50 TDs in a single campaign – with he and Patrick Mahomes being the only ones to do both in the same year.
Manning won a Super Bowl with the Colts in 2006-07 and in his final season as a professional with the Broncos in 2015-16. He retired with 17 NFL campaigns under his belt, racking up 71,940 passing yards and 539 touchdowns in his career to go with 186 wins in the regular season.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Manning is also one of just eight QBs with seven passing-touchdowns in a single game, and one of 26 to sling at least six in the Super Bowl Era. With that being said, can you name the NFL quarterbacks with at least one six-passing-TD game in their career since the 1966-67 season?
Good luck!
