The Pittsburgh Steelers are ready to forget their blunder in Week Seven. It’s time to move on to Week Eight, where they will welcome the Green Bay Packers to Acrisure Stadium for a heavyweight bout between Aaron Rodgers and his former team. Rodgers says there is no animosity, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t looking for revenge. This game will be a great test for the Steelers. Week Eight isn’t indicative of who they are. They know it.

5. The Steelers Cornerbacks Bounce Back

Pittsburgh’s cornerback room needs to have a bounce-back game in Week Eight. Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr, and Darius Slay got destroyed by Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins last week. In their defense, those two could torch anybody in the league, but the Steelers’ corners need to play better. Chase was targeted 23 times and caught 16 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown. Higgins caught six passes for 96 yards and a touchdown. That’s unacceptable. It’s time to rebound in Week Eight.

4. Run The Ball

Jaylen Warren posted his best game of the season against the Cincinnati Bengals, and it’s imperative to keep his momentum rolling. He ran the ball 16 times for 127 yards and caught four passes for 31 yards. The Packers allow 67 rushing yards per game to running backs, but Warren is ready to inflate that number. The offensive line has been good in the run game. The Steelers’ running backs need to have a good night.

3. Create Havoc

Pittsburgh only sacked Joe Flacco twice last week. Both sacks came late in the game. It was an embarrassing showing against an abysmal offensive line, but Flacco did a great job of getting the ball out quickly. Jordan Love is great at the quick game, but the Steelers have to make something happen on defense in Week 8. Arthur Smith’s offense has held up its end of the bargain. It’s time for Mike Tomlin and Teryl Austin to get with the program.

2. Neutralize Micah Parsons

First-year Packer Micah Parsons enters Sunday Night Football as the Defensive Player of the Year favorite. He has racked up 5.5 sacks, 16 total tackles, eight solos, and five tackles for loss. Broderick Jones and Darnell Washington will have their hands full on Sunday night, but they’re up to the task. They made Myles Garrett look invisible two weeks ago. Rodgers will have to get the ball out quickly against his former team.

1. Let Rodgers Cook

Aaron Rodgers spent 18 seasons with the Packers, winning 147 games and a Super Bowl for them. He says that things didn’t end on bad terms and Sunday night isn’t a revenge game, but everybody knows he’s eager to roast his old team and coach. Rodgers has a chance to become the fifth quarterback in NFL history to beat all 32 teams, joining Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning. Rodgers is going for glory on Sunday Night Football.

End Of My Pittsburgh Steelers Rant

History says that the Steelers will win in Week 8. Mike Tomlin is 7-2 after divisional losses on Thursday Night Football and 16-5 in throwback jerseys. He has a career record of 3-0 against the Packers at home, and Green Bay hasn’t gotten a win in the Steel City since Bart Starr was their quarterback. Rodgers is 21-14 on Sunday Night Football over his career. Everything points to a Steelers win on Sunday night, but now it’s their turn to show up and handle business.
