The Top NFC Offenses After the 2026 NFL Draft
Kirby Lee-Imagn Images

Ranking the best NFC offenses after the 2026 NFL Draft was not as easy as I thought it would be.

At first, I had the Eagles higher, the Seahawks lower, and I went back and forth on Chicago, Atlanta, and San Francisco.

Once I looked closer at last season’s production, the updated depth charts, quarterback situations, offensive lines, and the weapons each team has, the list started to make more sense.

This isn’t just about ranking teams because they have some of the most popular players. It’s about finding teams that have the players and production. If it was, the Eagles would be top-5 and everyone knows, or should know, they aren’t that good.

I wanted this to balance what these offenses did last season with what they look like after the draft.

So here’s where I landed.

5. Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are my biggest projection in the top five.

I know this may be a risky pick at 5 and Chicago has to prove it, but Caleb Williams looks like he will take the next step after last season and this offense will come together.

For once, the Bears have put some real pieces around their young quarterback.

Rome Odunze gives them an outside threat, Luther Burden is the explosive weapon, Colston Loveland and Cole Kmet give them one of the best tight end duos in the NFL. D’Andre Swift gives them back who can help in the run game and passing game.

The offensive line being better is the key to this offense. It doesn’t matter how good the weapons are if Caleb Williams is running for his life every snap.

Chicago has the potential to be dangerous. I’m betting on the talent and improved structure in year two under head coach Ben Johnson.

2025 NFL offensive stats:

  • Yards per game — 369.2 (6th)
  • Passing yards — 225.1 (10th)
  • Rushing yards — 144.5 (3rd)
  • Points per game — 25.9 (9th)

4. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay is a team that deserves some respect on the offensive side of the ball.

The Packers have Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs, Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, Tucker Kraft, and Luke Musgrave. That’s a deep group, and it gives Green Bay a lot of different ways to attack defenses.

This offense comes down to Jordan Love. If he plays clean football and avoids careless mistakes, the Packers could easily be top-five in the NFC offensively. They have the talent, variety, and run game to succeed.

2025 NFL offensive stats:

  • Yards per game — 332.6 (15th)
  • Passing yards per game — (17th)
  • Rushing yards per game — 119.8 (15th)
  • Points per game — 23.0 (16th)

3. Detroit Lions

Detroit is still loaded on offense.

The Lions have Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Sam LaPorta, making up one of the best skill groups in the NFC.

Amon-Ra is one of the most reliable receivers in football, Gibbs is a matchup nightmare, Jameson is the speed, and LaPorta gives them a big play safety blanket. While Goff, when the structure is right, can run the offense at a very high level.

The reason the Lions are not higher on this list is the offensive line isn’t looking as dominant as it was in the past. Penei Sewell is still elite, but the overall line doesn’t have the same oomph it did.

2025 NFL offensive stats:

  • Yards per game — 373.2 (5th)
  • Passing yards per game — 253.1 (3rd)
  • Rushing yards per game — 120.1 (14th)
  • Points per game — 28.3 (T-4th)

2. Dallas Cowboys

I have the Dallas Cowboys at No.2, and I know this sounds like a homer pick, but it has validity.

Dallas belongs in this spot.

The Cowboys have Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson, Javonte Williams, and an offensive line that gets better every year. That’s an offensive core that is ready to do damage to defenses week in and week out.

Last year showed how well CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens complemented each other. Lamb was the only offensive threat, but adding Pickens gives Dallas another receiver who can move around. This forces defenses to respect both sides of the field.

Javonte Williams proved last season he can still run and was one of the best backs in the NFL. He brings physicality, finishes runs, and keeps the Cowboys ahead of the chains.

The offensive line is another reason I’m high on Dallas. Tyler Smith is the cornerstone and leader, Tyler Booker is the young mauler at the opposite guard, Cooper Beebe brings stability in the middle, and the tackles (Tyler Guyton and Terence Steele) are the only question marks.

The next team still gets the edge because of the coaching and the quarterback, but Dallas is closer than most want to admit.

2025 NFL offensive stats:

  • Yards per game — 391.9 (2)
  • Passing yards per game — 266.3 (2)
  • Rushing yards per game — 125.6 (9)
  • Points per game — 27.7 (7)

1. Los Angeles Rams

The LA Rams are my No.1 offense in the NFC.

This one is pretty simple for me. The Rams have Matthew Stafford, Sean McVay, Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, and Kyren Williams. That creates a dangerous mix of quarterback play, coaching, receiver talent, and balance.

Stafford may not be the youngest anymore, but he can still carve up a defense with his veteran football IQ. McVay is still one of the best offensive minds in the NFL if not the best. Puka is one of the toughest receivers to defend in the NFL, and Adams gives the Rams another true route-running weapon on the outside.

The offensive line is the only part of this offense that keeps me from saying they are clearly ahead of everyone else, but when you look at the whole picture, I trust the Rams’ passing game more than any other offense in the conference.

Right now I think they are the standard, but the Cowboys could change that this season.

My Final Post Draft NFC Offensive Rankings

  1. LA Rams
  2. Dallas Cowboys
  3. Detroit Lions
  4. Green Bay Packers
  5. Chicago Bears
  6. Seattle Seahawks
  7. San Francisco 49ers
  8. Atlanta Falcons
  9. Washington Commanders
  10. New Orleans Saints
  11. Philadelphia Eagles
  12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  13. Carolina Panthers
  14. New York Giants
  15. Minnesota Vikings
  16. Arizona Cardinals

What It Came Down To in the NFC Offense Rankings

The Rams are the standard with the Cowboys right on their heels. Detroit still has offensive firepower, Green Bay deserves a little more respect on offense, and Chicago is the upside play. Seattle is the team I moved up once I stopped underrating what they have accomplished.

The Eagles might be the controversial drop, but I’m not ranking on reputation, I’m ranking on what I have seen and expect from these teams.
