The 'Winning NFL playoff debuts' quiz

No matter the success a quarterback has in the regular season, a franchise quarterback is judged on his performance in the postseason.

New England Patriots second-year signal caller Drake Maye was solid in their 16-3 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Wild Card as he got the monkey of a first playoff victory off his back. He completed 17-of-29 passes for 268 yards with a touchdown and an interception, but the touchdown was a beautiful ball to tight end Hunter Henry in the fourth quarter. He was also the team’s leading rusher, going for 66 yards on 10 carries.

Despite becoming the youngest quarterback with 250 passing yards and 50 rushing yards in the same playoff game, he gave credit for the win to his smothering defense.

“It wasn’t pretty, that’s for sure. But this defense was so fun to watch. Congrats to them, they won the game for us,” he said

Which brings us to today’s quiz. The win wasn’t just a debut victory for Maye, but also the first postseason win for the Patriots since Super Bowl LIII in 2019. With that being said, can you name the NFL quarterbacks to win in their first playoff start?

Good luck!
