The 'Youngest 4K-yard NFL passers' quiz

This time last year, the New England Patriots were a team brimming more with potential than expectations. But after winning 14 games and making a Super Bowl appearance last season, Drake Maye and Co. aren’t flying under the radar any longer as they report for 2026 training camp. 

Maye led the NFL in completion percentage while throwing for 4,394 yards and 31 touchdowns last year, but he struggled in the playoffs and was suffocated by the Seahawks in Super Bowl LX. This season he’ll have the advantage of throwing to A.J. Brown, and he told ESPN’s Mike Reiss he knows he needs to improve. 

“I have to play better,” the former fourth-overall pick said.

“You give your best, and sometimes it doesn’t go your way. And that’s when you have to get back to work.”

Entering his age-24 season and third as a professional, there will be plenty of pressure on him to prove his breakout season wasn’t a fluke.
