There’s one major reason you shouldn’t give up on the Baltimore Ravens just yet — even after their brutal 1-5 start to the 2025 season

The only complaint the Baltimore Ravens should have about their Week 7 bye is that it didn't come sooner. The Ravens are reeling — they're a mess on the field in too many places and a walking infirmary with an injury list that would shell-shock any team. Sure enough, the Ravens are 1-5. Now is a much-needed time to lick some wounds and lock in on what is going to be a pivotal 11 game stretch to close the season.

There's no room for error now.

For Baltimore, there is one silver lining to the task at hand. When stacking up their schedule with the rest of the NFL, it's clear that the Ravens are going to be a more talented team than most opponents the rest of the way. Health willing, of course.

Ravens hold NFL's fifth-lowest remaining strength of schedule in 2025

The Ravens have the fifth-easiest remaining strength of schedule from an opponent win-loss standpoint, which sets the stage for this team to get healthy (and focused) on the bye week and play to their potential before letting the chips fall where they may the rest of the way.

The matchups with the Pittsburgh Steelers obviously carry major ramifications. But the total win-percentage of Baltimore's remaining opponents, including two games against the 4-1 Steelers, is 0.442.

Easiest remaining strength of schedules in the NFL after Week 6

  1. New England Patriots - 0.302
  2. Cincinnati Bengals - 0.393
  3. Cleveland Browns - 0.403
  4. New York Jets - 0.429
  5. Baltimore Ravens - 0.442

Baltimore is not playing well. But their next five opponents are the Chicago Bears after the bye, the Miami Dolphins, the Minnesota Vikings, the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets. There's a (very) reasonable world in which the Ravens are 5-5 going into their first matchup with Baltimore. They could climb back to .500 on Thanksgiving against the Bengals.

Talk about something to be thankful for. There's obviously a lot that needs to happen before that and Baltimore unquestionably needs to start playing better to give themselves a chance to see that happen. But it's certainly a possibility.

It all starts with one game. And the Ravens have two weeks to get ready for that one, against Chicago.
