Jacoby Brissett came into Cleveland and impressed everyone for 11 games and earned himself his next contract in the league undoubtedly. According to a report, the Pittsburgh Steelers could be a place to watch for Brissett when free agency opens up.

"Brissett is familiar with the Steelers system because he played at North Carolina State (2013-2015) when Matt Canada was the offensive coordinator there," Dulac said. "Also, Steelers running backs coach Eddie Faulker and receivers coach Frisman Jackson were members of that staff."

Brissett played in place of Deshaun Watson and went out with a 4-7 record during that time. The record does not show what Brissett did for the team. He easily passed any expectations that were placed on him with 12 touchdowns to six interceptions.

The reason that Brissett makes sense for Pittsburgh is to operate behind Kenny Pickett. If Pickett doesn't improve off his 7-9 touchdown to interception ratio, the ability to play could come about.

Pittsburgh can cut quarterback Mitch Trubisky and save $8 million, which seems like a no-brainer.

Brissett is heading to a new home in 2023. For Cleveland's sake, hopefully, it is not this close.
