These 7 49ers players are inactive vs. Saints; Trent Williams, Jauan Jennings will play

The San Francisco 49ers have released the list of inactive players for their Week 2 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. These seven players will not suit up for the game.

• QB Brock Purdy (left shoulder, toe)
• WR Jordan Watkins

On Friday, the 49ers officially ruled out quarterback Brock Purdy for the game against the Saints. Wide receiver Jauan Jennings (shoulder) and left tackle Trent Williams (knee) were listed as questionable, but both are active.

On Saturday, the 49ers announced several roster moves ahead of their Week 2 matchup. The team elevated tight end Brayden Willis and quarterback Adrian Martinez from the practice squad, while also promoting linebacker Curtis Robinson to the 53-man roster. To make room for the addition, the 49ers waived defensive end Robert Beal Jr.
