Week one of the NFL season is around the corner. The best time of the year is back. The air is crisp, the leaves are changing colors, and betting on football is back. These star players are a lock to find the endzone to open the season. When placing Week One parlays, take these players into consideration.
Aaron Jones and the Minnesota Vikings will take on the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football to end Week 1. Jones is going to find the endzone. He owns the Bears, scoring 13 touchdowns in 15 games against them throughout his career. Last season, Chicago allowed 18 rushing touchdowns to running backs. Jones has scored a week one touchdown in two straight seasons, and he had a touchdown in both games against the Bears last season.
Mike Evans will face a familiar foe in Week One, the Atlanta Falcons. Evans has had success against them throughout his career, scoring 13 touchdowns in 19 games against the Dirty Birds. Atlanta surrendered 22 touchdowns to wide receivers last season, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take advantage of that. Evans has scored a touchdown in Week One in every season that Baker Mayfield has been his quarterback. That won’t change in 2025.
Christian McCaffrey had an odd season last year, playing four games due to an injury. He’s looking to get back to himself this season, and Week One is a perfect spot for him. McCaffrey has played six games against the Seattle Seahawks throughout his career, and he has seven touchdowns and averages 109.6 yards per game on the ground against them. Expect McCaffrey to have a big game in Week One.
James Conner has flown under the radar as one of the most consistent running backs in football, and that won’t change in 2025. In Week One, the Arizona Cardinals face off against the Saints. The New Orleans Saints allowed 18 rushing touchdowns last season, and that won’t change this season. Conner scored eight touchdowns last year, and the game script for week one should provide opportunities for him to punch one in. Don’t sleep on Conner this year.
The Dallas Cowboys allowed ten rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks last season, and they have to face the king of them in Week One. The tush push is inevitable. Jalen Hurts will punch one in to open the season when Dallas comes to town. Last season, he slithered into the endzone twice against the Cowboys in Week 10. The Philadelphia Eagles will be celebrating their Super Bowl victory in Week One, but Hurts is already looking forward to getting this season underway.
Placing a parlay of these five players comes in around +2400 odds, depending on what sportsbook it is on. $5 will win a quick $120 to start the NFL season on the right foot. It’s hard to imagine a world where these guys don’t sneak into the endzone to kick off the season. Football is back. It’s time to make money.
