Going into training camp, there are plenty of storylines to keep tabs on if you're a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
But, some other storylines across the league and, specifically the NFC East, could be worthy of our attention. Last year, the Eagles signed veteran wide receiver Parris Campbell. He only appeared in five games for the Eagles but would go on to sign with a division rival: the Dallas Cowboys.
Now going into Cowboys training camp, Campbell very well could be looking for a job once again.
For Eagles fans staying in tune with the Cowboys, much had been made about them adding another top-tier wide receiver for Dak Prescott, to line up alongside CeeDee Lamb.
The Cowboys made their move when they went out and traded for former Pittsburgh Steeelrs wideout George Pickens, thus giving their offense a talented duo. The Campbell signing came way before the Pickens trade, though, and of course it did not move the needle all that much.
In fact, Campbell is still probably buried on the Cowboys' depth chart.
Ahead of him are not only Lamb and Pickens, but Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin, Jalen Brooks and Jonathan Mingo. That would put Campbell at WR7 at best, but he's got other competition as well.
Cowboys 2024 sixth-round pick Ryan Flournoy might be his biggest or most equal competition at this point, but there are even four more wide receivers still on the roster beyond all of those names.
It shouldn't surprise Eagles fans, nor should it surprise New York Giants fans, that Campbell is facing an uphill battle at camp. He spent the 2023 season with New York as well, making this his third NFC East stop.
