This Surprising Tennessee Titans Player Named NFL’s Most Underrated

The Tennessee Titans have been one of the busiest teams in the NFL this offseason, addressing various needs through both free agency and the draft.

As a result, the Titans should be a very interesting ballclub heading into 2024. They may not make the playoffs, but they should at least be competitive.

Most feel that the one thing holding Tennessee back next season will be its situation at quarterback.

Will Levis will be entering his first year as the Titans’ full-time starter under center, and many have legitimate questions about him.

However, Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski actually feels that Levis may very well be the most underrated quarterback in football.

It seems like an odd pick given the fact that Levis was predominantly uninspiring in 2023, throwing for 1,808 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 58.4 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 84.2 over nine starts.

But Sobleski has placed a caveat on Levis’ pedestrian rookie showing, saying that he was playing behind a miserable offensive line and had one of the league’s worst rosters at his disposal in general.

The good news is that Tennessee has done plenty of work to remedy these issues the last couple of months.

Sobleski notes that the Titans hired an offensive-minded head coach in Brian Callahan and possibly the game’s best offensive line coach in Bill Callahan. Plus, they landed the best center on the free-agent market in Lloyd Cushenberry and took tackle JC Latham in the first round of the draft.

Additionally, Tennessee signed wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd, who will join a suddenly dangerous receiving corps that already included DeAndre Hopkins.

The Titans also brought in running back Tony Pollard, although he was just a replacement for the departed Derrick Henry. Heck, maybe the younger Pollard will even represent an upgrade over the aging Henry?

Essentially, Sobleski thinks that Levis should be set up for success next season.

Tennessee used a second-round pick on Levis last year and didn’t even consider selecting a quarterback in the draft last month, so it obviously has some faith in the signal-caller.

We’ll see if Levis is able to deliver for the Titans in 2024 and potentially lead them to a playoff berth. Or, at the very least, we’ll see if he can make them competitive in the AFC South.
