It is victory Monday all across the DMV area as the Washington Commanders got their first playoff win since 2005. Washington used a walk-off doink field goal to defeat the Buccaneers 23-20 Sunday night in Tampa.

The "Sunday Night Football" crew gives out "game balls" after each broadcast, with Sunday's going to Jayden Daniels, Terry McLaurin and Bobby Wagner. All three had excellent games, but one player who may have been just as important in the win was receiver Dyami Brown.
Brown hasn't had quite the NFL career he hoped for. After being selected in the third round in the 2021 NFL Draft, Brown has just 784 yards and four touchdowns in his career.
But Brown had a career game against Tampa Bay, collecting five catches for 89 yards and a touchdown. He was an instrumental part of Washington's win.

The touchdown got Washington on the board, but it was not Brown's biggest catch of the game.
Late in the fourth quarter, Brown hauled in a catch on third down that went for 21 yards and got Washington across midfield. It was a huge conversion that allowed Washington to slow the pace and begin to wind the clock and force Tampa Bay to start using timeouts.
Have a Dyam day, Dyami Brown!

Washington would ultimately get into field goal range for Zane Gonzalez to kick the game-winner.
Brown is set to be a free agent at seasons end and Washington will likely be interested in re-signing him. As of now, the only two receivers on Washington's roster that are under contract next season are McLaurin and rookie Luke McCaffrey.
If Brown can show up in Detroit on Saturday and have another breakout game, he will force Washington's hand in earning a nice paycheck in the offseason.
