Three biggest concerns for Baltimore Ravens before the draft

If the Ravens agree to the demand, the 2019 NFL MVP would leave a massive hole at quarterback heading into the 2023 NFL Draft. Baltimore would get multiple first-round picks for Jackson, but finding another franchise quarterback is no easy task.

Alabama's Bryce Young, Ohio State's C.J. Stroud, Florida's Anthony Richardson and Kentucky's Will Levis are considered the best of the class. Baltimore, which has the 22nd pick in the first round, needs draft ammo to move up to get any of them.

If the team moves on from Jackson, new offensive coordinator Todd Monken would have the tough assignment of rebuilding the offense to match the skillset of its new quarterback.

2. Who will emerge as the WR1?

The Ravens didn't have a wideout eclipse 500 yards in 2022. So, they responded by signing WR Nelson Agholor to a one-year deal in free agency.

Agholor had just 362 yards and two touchdowns last season, making Baltimore fans scratch their heads. Don't the Ravens know WR DeAndre Hopkins is still reportedly available in a trade with the Cardinals?

Baltimore may not be done adding to the wide receiver room, but the further into the offseason we get, the less talent will be available in free agency. 

Maybe the Ravens still have hope for 2021 first-round pick Rashod Bateman, who had 285 yards receiving and two touchdowns in just seven games last season.

3. Who's the starting corner opposite Marlon Humphrey?

Baltimore's secondary is a strong point, but if it is going to let free-agent CB Marcus Peters walk, it must find his replacement.

Solid cornerbacks are available in free agency, including Rock Ya-Sin and Shaquill Griffin, who both rank in the top 20 of Pro Football Focus' top remaining free agents. But they may not move the needle enough for the cap-strapped Ravens.

The 2023 NFL Draft seems to have a deep cornerback class as well. Baltimore, though, should add to the room before the draft for insurance.
