After an uninspired start to the regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles turned in some of last year’s most exciting games. What they’ll do for an encore remains to be seen, but we can’t wait for these three games.
Week 1 vs. Dallas Cowboys
All eyes will be on Lincoln Financial Field as the defending Super Bowl champions raise their banner and open the 2025 NFL season against rival Dallas, a team that never fails to draw the ire of Philly fans.
The Cowboys were 0-2 against the Eagles last year but did so without their starting quarterback. Dak Prescott went 3-5 in eight starts before suffering a season-ending hamstring injury against the Falcons in Week 9.
Overall, Prescott has a 9-4 record against Philadelphia but is 3-3 in road games. The Eagles outscored Dallas 75-13 last season and are 3-4 against the Cowboys since head coach Nick Sirianni took over in 2022.
This year, Brian Schottenheimer takes over for Mike McCarthy as Cowboys coach after spending the last three seasons as an assistant with the team. He’ll need to have Dallas ready against Philadelphia’s top-ranked defense and NFL rushing leader Saquon Barkley in front of a primetime national audience.
Week 10 at Green Bay Packers
The Packers would love avenge last year’s 22-10 loss to the Eagles on opening day in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Eagles could be looking for payback after Packers executives failed to have Philadelphia’s signature “tush-push” play banned in the offseason.

Tushes aside, this mid-season Monday night matchup features two of the NFLs youngest and most exciting teams. Offensively, only four teams averaged more yards per game than the Packers (370.8) last season, but the Eagles weren’t far behind at 367.2 yards per contest.
Defensively, Philadelphia allowed the second-fewest points per game (17.8) while Green Bay gave up an average of 19.9 points last season. Factor in running backs like Barkley and the Packers’ Josh Jacobs, the NFL’s sixth-leading rusher, and and this game has the makings of an instant classic at Lambeau Field.
Week 17 at Buffalo Bills
The Bills and Eagles don’t share much history with 15 games played, but this late-December matchup could have a profound effect on each team’s future. With the first- and fourth-best odds to win Super Bowl LX, playoff seeds could still be up for grabs in Orchard Park, New York.
When the teams last met in 2023, the Eagles used a 12-yard touchdown run from quarterback Jalen Hurts with 2:37 left in overtime to beat the Bills 37-34.
This year’s matchup may not be so dramatic, but watching quarterback Josh Allen, the reigning NFL MVP, battle Hurts, last year’s Super Bowl MVP, sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
