Three NFL trade candidates to watch this offseason

The 2026 NFL offseason will officially begin tonight, as the Patriots and Seahawks get ready for Super Bowl LX. Trade discussions are intensifying, with several teams looking to upgrade their rosters or make changes due to salary cap issues, coaching changes and disappointing performances.

Here are three trades to monitor this offseason.

Potential Trades

Kyler Murray (Quarterback - Arizona Cardinals)

With the hiring of Mike LaFleur as head coach and the Cardinals entering a full rebuild, Murray's injury history and inconsistent performance and the strong play of backup Jacoby Brissett last season, Murray is at the forefront of potential trades. Moving him early would reduce dead cap and could result in a valuable draft return.

Potential landing spots: Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons

Tyreek Hill (Wide Receiver - Miami Dolphins)

The Dolphins are another organization heading into a full rebuild. They recently hired Jeff Hafley as their new head coach. Hill is likely to be traded or cut at this stage of his career. He will likely seek a contract extension due to no guaranteed money remaining on the only year left on his deal. There will be some contenders looking for experienced targets, possibly from a familiar organization.

Potential landing spots: Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers

Dexter Lawrence (Defensive Tackle -  New York Giants)

Lawrence has been vocal about his frustration with the lack of success in New York, which could signal a need to change scenery for the 29-year-old. None of the two years and $39.5M remaining on his contract is fully guaranteed, and the Giants would take on a $14M dead cap charge to trade him before the upcoming 2026 draft. With multiple teams needing an interior presence, their phones could light up this offseason.

Potential landing spots: Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, Houston Texans
