Three Steelers who could have biggest impact vs. Chargers in Week 3

The Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0) host the Los Angeles Chargers (2-0) in Week 3. Both teams hope to stay hot and remain undefeated in a battle of "old-school football."

Here are three Steelers who could impact the game the most:

Running back Najee Harris

There's no hiding that Pittsburgh wants to run the football early and often. Heading into Week 3, the team led the league in rushing attempts (77).

While it will be more challenging to run the football against the Chargers, who allow the fifth-fewest rushing yards per game (80.5), that isn't about to change this week.

Harris will play a significant role in this game, which will be won and lost in the trenches — so much so that linebacker Elandon Roberts thinks the matchup could bring back memories of the past.

"You see it. They running the ball now in this league," Roberts said. "Sometimes you try to take it out, but that's what football's built off of. You're not gonna take that physicality out of the game."

Quarterback Justin Fields

Fields looks like he's on track to make his third straight start, with quarterback Russell Wilson still being limited in practice all week due to his calf injury.

The Steelers are averaging the eighth-fewest points per game (15.5) in the league with Fields as their starter, but he believes the "dam is about to burst" for the offense.

"I think so," Fields said. "That just continues to go back to the point of, you know, we're just shooting ourselves in the foot at the end of the day. Drives are not stopping because the defense is stopping, it's stopping because we're stopping ourselves at the end of day."

That needs to be the case, as Week 3 could prove to be Fields' last opportunity to prove he should be Pittsburgh's full-time starter with Wilson nearing his return.

Linebacker Patrick Queen

Just as the Steelers like to run the football, so do the Chargers, who currently have the NFL's leading rusher in running back J.K. Dobbins.

Due to injuries, Dobbins has played in just nine games over the past three seasons, but he has burst onto the scene this year with 266 rushing yards through two games.

Pittsburgh's No. 1 priority will be to stop Los Angeles' run game. Queen has a little extra incentive to help do just that with a chance to bring down his former Ravens teammate.

"I love J.K. Still one of my best friends, still talk to him to this day. He's just a great guy, a great player," Queen said. "I'm happy to see him getting back to himself, but as far as me, I want to shut that down. He's the leading rusher right now, so just being able to go out there and shut him down would give me bragging rights and help this team win."
