Three teams that should pursue trade for A.J. Brown

A.J. Brown's discontent with the Philadelphia Eagles was a talking point way too many times this season.

He didn't care for his lack of involvement in the passing game, and didn't look happy even when the team won and he didn't get his touches.

Brown still finished the season with decent numbers. Per Football Reference, he hauled in 78 receptions on 121 targets for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns.

But, with the way the Eagles' season ended and how everything transpired this year, it looks like he might be on his way out. The Eagles would save $7 million against the cap by trading him after June 1, and several teams should be keeping tabs on his situation.

3 teams that should pursue A.J. Brown

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers still don't know whether Aaron Rodgers will return next season or not, but they need more help in the passing game for whoever is behind center in 2026.

Making a splash for Brown would reunite him with former Ole Miss teammate DK Metcalf, giving Mike Tomlin the most physical one-two punch of pass catchers in the game.

That being said, Tomlin has plenty of experience with difficult characters like Brown. And, after giving up on George Pickens, he may not be interested in another potential headache.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns need to retool their entire offense. Regardless of their new head coach and quarterback situation, they don't have a true, star-caliber WR1.

Brown might not appreciate going from a Super Bowl contender to a bottom-feeder. That being said, he'd get as many touches as he can handle in Northeast Ohio.

The Browns might take a wide receiver like Jordyn Tyson or Carnell Tate in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. If they don't, Brown might be a feasible candidate.

Buffalo Bills

The Eagles might not want to trade Brown to a Super Bowl-contending team, which is why the Kansas City Chiefs might not be a possibility. The Buffalo Bills, on the other hand, may be a different story.

Josh Allen doesn't have a go-to guy right now. He's leaned on James Cook and the running game, but not giving him a true star wide receiver feels like a disservice.

Convincing the Eagles to send Brown to a team they might face in the final game of the season might not be easy. Then again, with all the discontent around the Bills' inability to give Allen some help, they will have no choice but to swing for the fences.
