Three Teams Who Could Trade For Kyle Pitts

Pitts has been on and off of the trade block all offseason but has reached a point where multiple teams have called the Falcons. Pitts was chosen 4th overall in the 2021 NFL draft, making him the highest drafted tight end in NFL history.

There are multiple teams that could trade for Pitts still, and most of them could be AFC playoff teams looking for a staring tight end or more depth in the position. Pitts had a monster rookie season but has slowly decreased production throughout his career in Atlanta.

Many AFC teams could be looking to bring in Pitts over the next few weeks before the regular season commences.

Kansas City Chiefs

Travis Kelce will turn 36 during the regular season and there will need to be a backup plan in Kansas City if he retires after 2025. Chiefs are actually one of the biggest suitors for Pitts, as he can learn a lot behind a hall of famer like Kelce.

The Chiefs are coming off three straight Super Bowl appearances, winning two of them. They also have Noah Gray who has put up solid numbers and can complement Pitts very well.

Denver Broncos

More of a stab in the dark, the Broncos could add more weapons for Bo Nix, who had an excellent rookie season. At the moment they have Evan Engram, who had some injury concerns early in his career and in 2024 his season ended after 9 games.

Pitts would benefit a lot in the Broncos system, who are a very pass-heavy team. That has been Pitts' main struggle in Atlanta, who are very balanced between running and passing.

New York Jets

The Jets now have Justin Fields at quarterback who is looking to have his breakout season, after a rollercoaster of a year with Pittsburgh. They also do not have a lot of depth in the tight end position and are very inexperienced in that area.

Pitts would be a good fit for the Jets; they need all the weapons they can get for 2025. They are also still paying Aaron Rodgers and could use some good news in the next few weeks.

All of these teams could potentially push to make a move soon for Pitts.
