Ticket Prices For Super Bowl 59 In New Orleans Are Tanking

It's been a pretty long time since your average football fan could afford to buy a ticket to the Super Bowl. And while the price of admission for Super Bowl 59 is still pretty exorbitant, it's reportedly dropping fast.

According to the resale app Gametime (via TMZ Sports), the get-in prices for Sunday's big game are continuing to dip the closer we get to kickoff. With the lowest ticket costing $4,339 — a ridiculous amount on its face... but still down from $5,860 last Friday and $6,375 two weeks ago.

The most expensive seats at the Caesars Superdome aren't immune to the falling costs either. They're currently sitting at $29,693 — which is nearly $30,000 less than the $58,237 they were going for prior to the turn of the month.

The prices are also significantly cheaper than last year's Super Bowl rematch between the Chiefs and 49ers in Las Vegas. As the lowest-priced ticket for that contest, according to Gametime, was $8,764; with the peak reaching as high as $37,620.

It's also worth noting that this year's prices are significantly lower than the first time the Chiefs and Eagles met back in Super Bowl LVII in Arizona — which went as low as $6,264 and as high as $33,042, respectively.

In an interview with CNN, TickPick CEO Brett Goldberg pointed to New Orleans not having "the same appeal" as Sin City as one reason for the declining numbers. But also chalked it up Chiefs fatigue as the franchise looks to secure its third straight Lombardi.

"Had the Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders or Buffalo Bills made it this far, it'd be a much different story as it relates to current prices," Goldberg claimed.

What do you think is the biggest reason the NFL is seemingly seeing less interest from fans looking to attend?
