Tim Tebow’s wife Demi Tebow gave birth to their baby girl over the weekend, per an Instagram post from the couple. She was born on Sunday, July 6th.

“Our daughter is here! We couldn’t be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life,” Demi Tebow wrote in her caption. “We’re so grateful to the whole medical team that assisted us in the best way possible during my labor and delivery. From our doctor to our nurses and all the hospital staff — we are so grateful and thankful for you.

“To my sweet friend (Hannah), thank you for capturing one of the most special moments of our lives so perfectly. Thank you to everyone who’s been praying with us over her arrival. We are so incredibly thankful for all of the love and support we’ve felt. We can’t wait to share her name with you soon.”

Fans that were hoping for a boy that might have Tim Tebow’s legendary strength and athleticism will have to wait at this point. But it’s a tremendously joyous moment for the happy couple, now five years into their marriage.

Tim Tebow originally announced his engagement to Miss Universe 2017 and South African model Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters on Jan. 10, 2019. The couple was married a year later, on Jan. 20, 2020.

Now in sports broadcasting, Tim Tebow had a legendary career in college football. He followed that up with a short stint in the NFL after the Denver Broncos selected him in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

But Tebow’s days with the Florida Gators were the stuff of legend. Tebow became the first sophomore to ever win the Heisman Trophy when he did so in 2007. He did it in a season sandwiched by national championships he helped power the Gators to.

During his Heisman Trophy season, Tim Tebow threw for 3,286 yards and 32 touchdowns, against just six interceptions. He also ran for 895 yards and 23 scores.

In total across a four-year career at Florida, Tebow logged 9,286 yards passing and 88 touchdowns, against 16 interceptions. He also ran for 2,947 yards and 57 touchdowns.

His time in the NFL had its highlights — including a playoff win with the Broncos — but didn’t last very long.

His time in Denver came to an end after the team signed Peyton Manning in free agency in 2012. Tebow was traded to the New York Jets shortly after and didn’t have much of an impact. He bounced around a bit but ultimately saw his last look at quarterback in 2015 with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tim Tebow did attempt a brief comeback in the NFL at tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021, but he was cut during the preseason.
