Titans 53-Man Roster 2025: Offensive linemen who will make or break Cam Ward, the biggest storyline that’s being under-discussed

The 2025 Tennessee Titans go the way that Cam Ward goes. But for my money, the position group that will most directly and tangibly impact the way Cam Ward goes is his renovated offensive line. So in a way, the 2025 Titans go the way that Bill Callahan’s “finished” unit in the trenches goes. I really think they’re that important.

Offensive Tackles

If you had to pick which positions across the line you need to take a leap this year, it’s clearly the tackles. They hold the keys to this car in the palms of their hands. This is an exciting group because for the first time in years, the Titans should be getting NFL-caliber offensive tackle play from two (yes, both of them!) players. And it cannot be overstated how much more is unlocked in any offense by solid enough tackle play.

That’s all it takes: solid enough. All I’m asking for is both bookends to not require regular babysitting. It eats up resources, is a weakness your opponent can exploit with few serviceable counters, and it locks portions of your playbook. Not to mention, it makes everybody else’s job a whole lot harder.

Interior Offensive Line

This unit should be a real strength for the Titans if C Lloyd Cushenberry comes back from his torn Achilles well. But that’s a massive “if” that we’ve been too quick to dismiss this offseason. Austin Stanley and I sat down with Dr. Geoff Watson of the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee to dive into the injury linked here, and needless to say, it could be a rough road ahead for the Titans starting center.
