Titans claim DB off waivers from Arizona
USA TODAY Sports

The Titans have made a move to add depth to the secondary after recently trading away Kevin Byard

With the longtime starting safety shipped to Philadelphia, the Titans went shopping on the waiver wire. The team was awarded DB K'Von Wallace off of waivers from the Arizona Cardinals.

Wallace played in seven games with the Cardinals this season, starting in five. Wallace collected 43 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one interception while in the desert.

The defensive back was originally drafted out of Clemson in the 4th round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. Wallace was waived as part of the Eagles' roster cutdown this summer and quickly latched on with the Cardinals.

Wallace has earned a 57.3 PFF grade this season. The defensive back has been targeted 18 times and allowed 13 receptions.

It appears likely that Wallace will compete with Terrell Edmunds for snaps at Byard's old position. Edmunds was included in the Byard deal and also has starting experience at safety.

Edmunds and Wallace will both be free agents after the season, so if either performs poorly, they can walk. Other safeties currently on the roster include Shyheim Carter, Matthew Jackson, and Elijah Molden.
