The SkyCam has revolutionized coverage of NFL games. Those behind the technological innovation likely never envisioned a scenario where the overhead view would provide up-close coverage of a player flipping the bird directly at it.
That was the case during FOX’s coverage of the Tennessee Titans-Jacksonville Jaguars showdown on Thursday Night Football. Offensive lineman Taylor Lewan went down with an injury during the Titans’ 30-9 thrashing of the Jags as SkyCam loomed above the field as trainers tended to the situation.
Lewan must have noticed the camera hovering above him and proceeded to issue a not-so-friendly acknowledgement of its intrusive presence.

Lewan’s injury must have not been as severe as a middle-finger salute may have warranted, as the veteran returned to the game. Better yet, the Titans lineman had another memorable moment when he mocked and ridiculed Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey for flopping with a classic violin pantomime.

All in all, a pretty eventful evening, gesture-wise, for Mr. Lewan.
