Titans NFL Draft Daily (Feb. 5): 3 Senior Bowl Standouts that Tennessee Could Target

Tennessee's pass defense ranked near the bottom of the NFL in 2023 and needs help in the secondary. Entering Senior Bowl week, Smith-Wade was a projected fifth-round selection, per NFL Mock Draft Database. 

He could be one of those low-risk, high-reward players.

Darius Robinson, Missouri defensive end

It might be a longshot for the Titans to select Darius Robinson, but he's still worth mentioning. 

In January, Pro Football Network projected that Tennessee would select Robinson in the second round with the No. 38 overall pick. Because of needs at wide receiver and cornerback, adding a defensive end that early didn't make much sense.

Now it does. Especially if Robinson is still hanging around in the second round.

Jim Nagy, executive director of the Senior Bowl, tabbed Robinson as the "overall practice player of the week" in Mobile. ESPN's Matt Miller was also high on the former Missouri standout.

"Robinson, who played both outside and inside the tackle at Missouri, moved throughout the defensive line in practices and won every rep I saw him take," Miller wrote. "After 8.5 sacks this season, he has legitimate top-32 talent and should be in the first round of most post-Senior Bowl mock drafts."

In today's NFL, finding an elite pass-rusher is draft gold. Robinson may be unavailable when the 38th overall pick rolls around, but if he is, the Titans might give him serious consideration.

Roman Wilson, Michigan wide receiver

In 2023, Roman Wilson totaled 789 yards and 12 touchdowns on 48 catches. But the knock against the receiver was that he was limited in the number of routes he ran in college.

That perception changed last week at the Senior Bowl. Wilson was named one of the top standouts from the week in Mobile, per NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah. 

Wilson, previously projected as a late-round pick, is potentially a second-day selection. NFL Mock Draft Database has the former Wolverine tabbed as a third-rounder.

The Titans don't have a third-round pick (as of right now), meaning they'd either have to take a risk with Wilson in the second round or hope he falls to the fourth.

Still, Roman Wilson is a name worth mentioning after a strong week in Mobile.
