Oluwafemi Oladejo‘s rookie season was limited to six games. The Titans pass rusher was also sidelined this spring, but he should be able to participate in padded practices.
Oladejo dealt with a hamstring injury in recent months, as noted by veteran Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky. The ailment resulted in Oladejo remaining absent for OTAs and minicamp, but things should be different this summer. Per Kuharksy, Oladejo will be back to full strength by the time training camp begins later this month.
During his initial draft at the helm of the team, Titans GM Mike Borgonzi made the expected move of selecting quarterback Cam Ward first overall. His next draft pick was Oladejo, at No. 52 overall. Expectations will be high for the Cal/UCLA product in 2026, provided he can manage a healthy campaign. This season will of course see Tennessee transition to new defense under head coach Robert Saleh.
As Kuharsky notes, Oladejo was slated to work as an outside linebacker during his rookie year within Tennessee’s previous defense. Moving forward, though, his workload will be adjusted to that of a 3-4 defensive end. The 22-year-old’s success in that regard will be key on a personal level along with that of the team. Improved play on defense in particular will be sought out during Saleh’s second NFL head coaching gig.
During his limited time on the field last season, Oladejo logged a defensive snap share of 61%. A similar figure could be in store provided he does not encounter any further injury issues through training camp and into the preseason this summer.
