Titans QB Ryan Tannehill replaced by Malik Willis after pick-six vs. Bills

Rookie quarterback Malik Willis entered the game for the Titans on Monday night, immediately after starter Ryan Tannehill threw a pick-six to put Tennessee down 41-7.

Tannehill was 11-of-20 for 117 yards and a pair of interceptions. The Titans had just 132 yards of offense when the change was made.

While the decision to send Tannehill to the bench could be explained away by Mike Vrabel as a chance to see the rookie with the game well out of reach, the Titans quickly drew up plays that highlighted Willis' mobility. Willis had two rushing attempts on his first drive, flashing a part of his skillset that Tannehill doesn't have.

If Tannehill struggles in the coming weeks, the door may be open for Willis, who was drafted 86th overall out of Liberty in April.

The Titans haven't found much traction offensively against the Bills, but the defense has had an equally tough time. Stefon Diggs racked up 148 yards and three touchdowns over the first three quarters as Buffalo turned the game into a rout.

Backup Case Keenum replaced Josh Allen for the Bills after the Titans pulled Tannehill.
