Titans Re-Sign Promising Young RB Following Seahawks Visit
Denny Simmons / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK

Last season, the Tennessee Titans were without star running back Derrick Henry for the first time in eight years. It's going to be very difficult to truly replace the future Hall of Famer but the Titans do need to solidify their run game.

While Julius Chestnut hasn't made much of an impact in the rushing game for Tennessee yet, he's going to get a chance to in 2025. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Titans have signed Chestnut to a one-year contract.

The 24-year-old running back has made most of his impact on special teams but he did average a solid 4.6 yards per carry on 22 rushing attempts next season.

Tony Pollard is the likely starter in 2025 but Chestnut may have shown enough to earn more snaps. He did have a visit with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason so there was interest in him around the league.

Chestnut first joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Sacred Heart in 2022 and stuck with the team for three seasons. He's a solid special teams contributor and is still only 24.

The biggest knock on him is that he's dealt with injury issues going back to college but he played all 17 games in 2024, which is a good sign.
