The Tennessee Titans on Wednesday signed running back Julius Chestnut to a one-year deal and tendered linebacker Jack Gibbens as an exclusive right free agent.

Shortly after the Titans announced the Chestnut and Gibbens contracts, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported that the Titans are signing former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph to a one-year deal worth up to $3.62 million.

Rudolph spent six seasons with the Steelers and should compete with Malik Willis for the QB2 job behind presumptive starter Will Levis.

Chestnut, an undrafted free agent from Sacred Heart, joined the Titans before the 2022 season. In his first two NFL seasons, Chestnut has carried the ball nine times for 12 yards and caught three passes for 41 yards. He also has returned 10 kickoffs for 215 yards.

Chestnut was a reserve in the Titans' first three games last season but was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 26 and missed the final 14 games.

Gibbens, who also joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent, has 119 tackles, a sack, an interception, seven quarterback pressures, three stops for loss, four passes defended, and four special-teams stops in two seasons with the Titans.
