Titans reveal first look at DeAndre Hopkins in his new uniform

“The only 10 I see,” the post read.

The Titans inked the 31-year-old to a two-year, $26 million deal, with the opportunity for Hopkins to earn an extra $6 million with the incentives. If Hopkins reaches 95 catches, 1,050 yards and 10 touchdowns in either of the next two seasons, he can earn an extra $1 million for each category — $3 million total. Those are simply the max numbers that Hopkins can earn, however. The incentives begin at $250,000 for 65 catches, 750 yards and four touchdowns. They then increase by $250,000 for every 10 additional catches, two additional touchdowns and 100 additional yards.

“I am very happy, very glad,” Hopkins said Monday. “This was a team that as soon as the offseason hit and I knew I was possibly going to be traded, this was a team that was on my list of places that I wanted to play because of the history Mike Vrabel and I have, the history Tim Kelly and I have.

“I wanted to be somewhere where I knew people had my best interests, not just on the field but off the field as well.”

Titans hoping addition of DeAndre Hopkins elevates offense

Hopkins visited the Titans and the New England Patriots following his release from the Arizona Cardinals on May 26. In the end, he makes a move back to the AFC South, where he began his career with the Houston Texans. He is set to join a receiving corps that includes second-year receiver Treylon Burks, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Kyle Phillips.

Hopkins missed the first six games of this past season while serving a suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy. He returned in Week 7 and finished the year with 64 catches for 717 yards and three touchdowns across nine games. During his first season with the Cardinals in 2020, Hopkins recorded 115 catches with 1,407 and six scores.

Tennessee is likely to roll out Ryan Tannehill, who is entering the final year of his contract, as its starting quarterback. They also added a pair of quarterbacks in each of the past two drafts in Malik Willis and Will Levis.
