A lot of the Tennessee Titans-related pre-draft noise has been focused on Cam Ward. At some interval, the franchise is widely expected to bolster their quarterback’s arsenal of weapons in the highly-anticipated build toward his sophomore campaign.

Although now, still nearly a month prior to the event, Tennessee has taken a different route to assist Ward’s development. In a late-stage free agency move, the Titans have signed wide receiver K.J .Osborn to a one-year deal, according to Adam Schefter.

Formerly of the Minnesota Vikings (and, for a short stint, the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders), Osborn appears to be a promising measure of depth for a unit that already added a premier feature in the form of Wan’Dale Robinson.

A Measure of Depth

After logging seven touchdowns in his rookie campaign, Osborn has yet to reach those heights again. Yet, a change of scenery could be all the formerly reliable pass-catcher needs to reemerge as a productive piece once more.

United with Ward under offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, the Titans offense promises at least the opportunity for Osborn to make an impact. This is a signing that makes sense for Tennessee, even if it doesn't end up making much of a difference.
